Ron Paul Presidential Campaign Regional Coordinator to Visit UNR RENO, NV, September 26, 2007-- Jeff Greenspan, regional coordinator for the Ron Paul presidential campaign, will visit the University of Nevada, Reno campus tomorrow, September 27, 2007. Mr. Greenspan will address students in the newly-formed campus Ron Paul club, the "Ron Paul Pack". This will take place at 6:00 PM in the Orvis School of Nursing building, room 204. Later that evening, at 7:30 PM, he will speak to local supporters and all citizens interested in learning more about Ron Paul and his presidential bid in the Ansari Business Building, room 101. Ron Paul is a congressman from Texas whose message of peace, limited government, and personal freedom has ignited a blaze of grassroots support around the country that is unprecedented in recent political history. Campus groups such as the Ron Paul Pack are widespread across the country, and are having a major effect on the national campaign. It is estimated that such student groups will have raised an unprecedented $100,000 for the campaign by the end of this fundraising quarter. "It might just be . . . that freedom is popular!" Congressman Ron Paul has said in response to questions about why his campaign has gained such incredible support. Ron Paul who is a medical doctor from Texas that became involved in politics because of his passion for limited, Constitutional government. In his twenty years in Congress, Ron Paul has never voted for a bill that he deemed contrary to the role of the federal government laid out in the U.S. Constitution. Ron Paul voted against the invasion of Iraq, and wants to bring the troops home immediately. He believes in free market economics and has never voted to raise taxes. In his visit to Reno, Jeff Greenspan will answer questions about Dr. Paul and his policies of freedom, prosperity, and peace. Ron Paul has recently been gaining ground in the Republican party. He has placed first in recent straw polls in Alabama, North Carolina, and New Hampshire. He was one of the top three candidates in South Carolina, Illionois, and Indiana. The widespread appeal of Dr. Paul's message is demonstrated by the diverse backgrounds of Ron Paul supporters. Libertarians, anti-war activists, conservatives, anti-abortion advocates, pro-Second Amendment activists, and many other demographics are backing Ron Paul. Jeff Greenspan, Ron Paul's regional coordinator, will be visiting the campus of the University of Nevada Reno this Thursday, September 27. He will speak to local supporters in the Orvis School of Nursing (OSN), room 204 at 6:00 PM, and in the Ansari Business Building (AB), room 101 at 7:30 PM.
