Ron Paul Supporters Headed to Rib Fest

SPARKS, NV, August 31, 2007--  The Ron Paul revolution will head to the Sparks Rib Fest this weekend, in an attempt to spread Ron Paul's message of freedom, prosperity and peace.  Ron Paul is a ten-term Republican Congressman from Texas who is running for president on a platform of personal freedom and liberty, free market economics, and limited federal government.  His local supporters, Nevadans for Ron Paul, will stand on the corner of Pyramid and 'C' Street on Saturday, September 1, 2007, at around 4 pm with signs and flyers about Ron Paul.

The Ron Paul supporters will attempt to educate the public about Ron Paul's record as a Congressman, as well as Dr. Paul's opinions on current issues.  Ron Paul is a medical doctor who has delivered over four thousand babies, and he also served his country as a flight surgeon during the Vietnam war.  He believes in the free-market economy and has never voted to raise taxes.  He was one of the few Republicans who voted against military intervention in Iraq, and he wants to end the Iraq war and bring the troops home.  Ron Paul is also a strong proponent of personal liberty and freedom; he voted against the Patriot Act and the Military Commissions Act.

Ron Paul's message of freedom, peace and prosperity has been gaining him support throughout the nation.  The groundswell of grassroots activism spawned by the Ron Paul campaign is unprecedented in recent political history.  Also, Ron Paul has recently been gaining ground in the Republican party.  He has placed first in recent straw polls in Alabama, North Carolina, and New Hampshire.  He was one of the top three candidates in South Carolina, Illionois, and Indiana.  The widespread appeal of Dr. Paul's message is demonstrated by the diverse backgrounds of  Ron Paul supporters.  Libertarians, anti-war activists, conservatives, anti-abortion advocates, pro-Second Amendment activists, and many other demographics are backing Ron Paul.  As Dr. Paul has said, "Freedom is popular!"

The local Ron Paul group, Nevadans for Ron Paul, will rally outside the Rib Fest in Sparks this Saturday, September 1, 2007.  They will congregate on the corner of Pyramid and C Street at approximately four o'clock pm.
