Nevadans for Ron Paul 2008

Reno Ron Paul Rally: Wingfield Park, June 23, 2007

Six members attended the rally downtown on Saturday morning. This rally did not go as planned, because the Reno Rodeo Parade (the event the group was attempting to target) had actually taken place a week earlier. However, the small but determined band of supporters, resplendent in Ron Paul shirts, caps, and buttons, and armed with signs and flyers, made the best of the situation. They walked the Riverwalk along the Truckee River to Wingfield Park, where a musical benefit was taking place. The group passed out a number of flyers and talked to people on the Riverwalk and at the benefit concert. Many people stared curiously at the signs, and most of the flyers handed out had a positive reception. The Reno Ron Paul Rebels stayed at this event for almost two hours, and when they headed home, felt confident they had made some progress towards getting Ron Paul's name out into the community.
